Winter Wonderland XI

LET IT GLOW! LET IT GLOW! LET IT GLOW!

Winter Wonderland A Celebration of Lights is a Topeka tradition. Join us for our eleventh year of dazzling light displays certain to bring you and your family warm holiday cheer. Enjoy a breathtaking 2 mile drive through Lake Shawnee viewing hundreds of holiday displays, fun animation and holiday music.

  • November 21 -December 31, 2008, Winter Wonderland XI, 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Lake Shawnee Campground
  • November 21 , 5:30 p.m. Reynold's Lodge: Sneak Peek Sponsorship Appreciation Celebration.
  • November 21 , 6:00 p.m. Lake Shawnee Campground entrance: Winter Wonderland Lighting Ceremony.
  • Winter Wonderland Specialty Nights:
    • Monday, December 1 - Kids Night (6-9 pm) Reynolds Lodge (pancakes & pictures with Santa, kids activity corner)
    • Tuesday, December 2 - Senior's Night (4:00-6:00 pm or 6:30-8:30 pm), Reynolds Lodge (Refreshments & Bingo)
    • Wednesday, December 3 - Chili Feed Night (6-9 pm) Reynolds Lodge - bring your family and enjoy some chili and all the fixings for $3.50 per person (chili judged by local celebrities)- (Pictures with Santa, kids activity corner)
    • Thursday, December 4 - Pet Night (6-9 pm) Reynolds Lodge (Refreshments, treats for pets, Pictures with Santa)
  • Requested Donation: $7 per car or $1 per person in vans or buses.
  • Advance Tickets ($5 per car) are available at: TARC (2701 SW Randolph Ave) or the Educational Credit Union.

Considering taking a large group through Winter Wonderland? You might charter a limo or bus to "see the lights". For large groups, Winter Wonderland's requested donation is $1.00 per person.

Volunteer opportunities are also available for many things including setting up the displays (October and November), greeting / ticket taking / gate operations, and packing after the event (January). Individuals must be age 16 and older to volunteer at the gate entrance. Please call Debbie Baumgartner, the TARC Volunteer Coordinator, at 232-0597 x398 for more information about volunteering.

Support TARC's Mission: purchase a "Star of Life" for the displays at Winter Wonderland.
