SPARKK Program
Special Parents and Respite Kare for Kids
The SPARKK program is a respite care program for children 6 months to 16 years of age. SPARKK was developed by a group of dedicated family members with a need for respite care and the commitment for providing quality support services to children with disabilities or delays in Shawnee County.
In collaboration with TARC's Children's Services and the Shawnee County CDDO, families created an opportunity to meet the needs of parents with children with disabilities.
SPARKK is held two Friday evenings per month from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm at TARC, 2701 Randolph Ave. A minimal fee of $2.00 per child per evening will cover an evening filled with quality supports, stimulating activities, dinner and guaranteed fun. Siblings are welcome to attend. This program allows the caregiver some down time, while knowing their children are being cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
If you feel you could use some time for yourself, call TARC Children Serivces at 232-0597 or email . Enrollment is quick and easy. We would love to spend a Friday evening with your children.
"SPARKK is a lifesaver! You save my sanity."
