PACT Program
Parents and Children Together

The PACT program was developed to assist and provide support to parents with cognitive limitations. Staff provide intensive home visitation services to educate and help parents develop and/or build upon their basic parenting skills. Service Coordinators also provide assistance accessing needed resources and provide emotional support to parents as they struggle with the daily challenges of raising young children.
The PACT program also offers a monthly parent group for the families enrolled in the program with childcare and transportation assistance available. TARC enlists the support of other community agencies and brings in speakers each month that provide additional education regarding various parenting issues. Some of those topics include:
• basic first aid
• home/child safety
• developmentally appropriate play/toys
• discipline
To be eligible for the PACT program, one or more parents must
have a developmental disability or be limited as such that it impacts his/her ability to effectively parent. Parents must have a child between the ages of birth and three years or be expecting a child.
To refer a family to the PACT program please contact TARC Children's Services at 232-0597:
Wendy Manion ext. 407 or Lori Eigenman ext. 305.
