Direct Support Professional

Exciting and Unique Opportunity for Direct Support Professionals
TARC, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional. Successful candidate will be part of the Day Services/Senior Services Team and will support adults with developmental disabilities. The position will provide support and services within a habilitation setting. Responsibilities will include implementing goals from individualized plans developed for adults. Focus will be on promoting independence, integration, inclusion, and productivity in a supportive warm, nurturing atmosphere for all adults.
Desirable qualities include person centered focus, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Job requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Commercial Truck Driver (Part Time)

TARC Industries/Employment Services is currently seeking a part-time Commercial Truck Driver. This position will work in conjunction with the TARC Industries production team.
- Provide efficient delivery and pick up of production contracts and materials as well as pick up of document destruction materials
- Complete loading and unloading of production trailers and the assembly of required shipping tickets.
- Provide excellent customer service to contractors/customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years minimum specialized training in city & over-the-road driving, delivery experience with a diesel powered tractor/trailer combo
- Must be able to operate a fork lift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to use pallet moving equipment and maneuver (back) vehicles in difficult and tightly congested areas.
- Must have and maintain a valid Kansas CDL (Class A) Driver’s License, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record as well as maintain eligibility for TARC, Inc.’s standard insurance policy.

Children's Residential Family Specialist

TARC is accepting applications for a half-time Children’s Residential Family Specialist. Successful candidate will work with families and children with disabilities served by the Children’s Residential program within the Children’s Services/Assistive Technology Division.
This position will provide support and community resource information for families and children with disabilities who are in need of out of home placement. This position will also provide supervision and continued support for foster families to ensure quality programming.
Job requirements include:
- Licensed in the State of Kansas for Social Work. Master’s degree preferred.

Occupational Therapist

Southeast Kansas Education Center is seeking creative and quality driven therapist for early intervention program to work with families that include children birth to age three with disabilities or developmental delays. Successful candidates will be located at TARC in Topeka, KS. Desirable qualifications include demonstrated skills in child assessments, knowledge and understanding of child development for children birth through three years of age, strong communication skills, knowledge of current research regarding effective strategies with young children and family centered practices. Will collaborate with team members and engage in caregiver coaching to work toward family –identified outcomes for each child.
- Graduate in Occupational Therapy, currently registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association with current registration with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
- Four years experience working with children with developmental delays/disabilities preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid Kansas Driver’s License, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record as well as maintain eligibility for TARC’s standard insurance policy.
