Direct Support Professional

Exciting and Unique Opportunity for Direct Support Professionals

TARC is seeking Direct Support Professionals. Successful candidate will be part of the Day Services Team and will support adults with developmental disabilities. The position will provide instruction and support within a habilitation classroom setting. Responsibilities will include implementing outcomes from individualized plans developed for adults, maintaining safe, healthy, and interactive classroom environment that facilitates numerous learning opportunities and supporting a warm, nurturing atmosphere for all adults.

Desirable qualities include strong communication skills, flexibility and a willingness to learn.

Job requirements include:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.

Must have and maintain a valid Kansas Driver’s License, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record as well as maintain eligibility for TARC’s standard insurance policy.

TARC conducts background screenings, post-offer, pre-employment and random drug testing
