TARC Day and Senior Services programs are selling homemade note cards featuring artwork created by the people we support. The cards are then printed by the people supported at TIES (TARC Industries/Employment Services).

The note card artwork is created with a variety of different mediums. The mediums range from tape resistance, bubble art, marbling on canvas, and watercolor just to name a few. TARC’s Assistive Technology Department came up with some wonderful adapted equipment for those we support who use switches. A race car has been adapted so that paint can be put on its wheels and is then used as the brush. The person supported hits a switch and the car races around the paper leaving a beautiful picture behind. We also have and utilize an adapted camera for those who enjoy the art of photography.

These special one of a kind note cards are 4 for $5.00. The proceeds from the note cards go back to purchasing art supplies for TARC’s Day and Senior Service’s Art Program. Through the Art Program we have found that expressions of art can be found in each and every one of us.
